What is Rush Payments?

Rush payments allows you to send electronic bill payments the same day to an appoved biller.  That means the biller has an agreement in place to ensure posting the same day.  Fees may apply but can help avoid a potential late fee from the biller.

Is there a fee?

Fees may apply.  You will be advised of the fee at the time you schedule the payment and before payment confirmation.  Learn More about UTLEFCU’s Fee Schedule.

How will I know if my biller is eligible for Rush Payments?

Within the Payment Center, look for the “Rush Payment” link next to the eligible biller.  If a biller is not eligible, there may still be an option to expedite the payment with an overnight check.

What are all my payment options?

There are two delivery option:

  • Standard Delivery:  For all billers, Standard Delivery is available and payments can usually be made within 1-2 days for electronic payments or up to 3-4 days for a paper check.  There is no charge for Standard Delivery.  The calendar will automatically display the earliest Standard Delivery payment date available.  You can choose that date or schedule another.  The date must be a business day.
  • Rush Delivery:  For most billers, we also offer Rush Delivery, which includes Rush Payments and overnight check delivery options, which may involve additional fees.  If Rush Delivery is available, you’ll find this option when choosing a payment date in the calendar

How will I know if my account is eligible for Rush Payments?

Any account that is eligible for Bill Pay is eligible for Rush Payments.

What is the cutoff time for Rush Payments?

The cutoff time for Rush Payments delivery varies by biller.  You will find cutoff time information when choosing a payment date in the calendar.

How will I kow if my Rush Payments payment was received?

You’ll receive a reference number for every payment you schedule.  You can use this to track payments on the Payments screen.

  • The Pending Payments section shows payments that have not been sent or that are in process.
  • A “Paid” status in the Processed Payments section indicates the payment has been sent.  If you’d like, you can also choose to receive an email when your payment is sent.  Proof that your payment was received by the payee should appear on the next bill you receive from your payee.

*You must have a Share Draft account in good standing with UTELFCU and enrolled in Online Banking with Bill Pay.
