Field of Membership
Employees of Verizon & subsidiaries, employees of Spectrum Cable and Northland Communications. The Credit Union will verify the eligibility of prospective members seeking membership with the Credit Union. Eligible members consist of immediate family or household, even if the family member does not live in the same residence. Spouses of such persons who died while in the field of membership, as well as organizations of such persons. The Credit Union will review payroll records and family history to determine whether the prospective member meets the occupational based membership eligibility. Immediate family members include spouses, children, stepchildren, siblings, parents, grandparents, grandchildren, stepparents, stepsiblings, and adoptive relationships. Included in the definition is any person who is a permanent member of and participates in the maintenance of the household, for example, sharing an apartment with permanency as a domestic partner, not one who visits for a short period of time. Other persons include employees of this Credit Union. Once a person becomes a member of the Credit Union, such a person may remain a member until the person chooses to withdraw or is expelled from the membership of the Credit Union.
