Enhanced Bill Pay

New and Improved Features!

Update – June 18, 2020

UTELFCU has successfully migrated to our upgraded Bill Pay Service.  As communicated in our letter to Bill Pay subscribers dated May 20th,  please continue to access bill pay through Virtual Branch Online Banking. (See “Previous Communication” below).  However, you will now click the link labeled Bill Pay at the top of the screen.

The upgraded service offers many new benefits and features including better cash flow control, the ability to accept electronic bills, Popmoney® and A2A. Best of all, the new bill pay features a new payment model where your account will be charged on the same day the biller receives the funds for your payment!

The majority of your payees have been converted to the new system.  In rare instances, a payee may not have converted or the payee information may not be what you initially entered when you added your payee to the old bill pay system.  We will need your help to make sure all of your payments process correctly. 

It is very important that you log into Bill Pay and ensure that all of your payee information is accurate.

If you used the single or reoccurring transfer option to a person or another financial institution, as of June 18, 2020,  you will need to set up those transfers (payments) as paying a person or company under the ‘Add a Bill’ tab.

The first time you log into Bill Pay on or after June 18, 2020, you will be asked to accept Terms and Conditions for Bill Pay.  Please review the Terms and Conditions carefully as they have been updated.

Six months of your payment history has been converted to the updated system.  Please refer to your statements if you need older history, or call the Credit Union.  You may contact us at 315-724-5133, Monday – Friday, 8am to 4pm except federal holidays.

With Online Bill Pay, you’ll have access to these great features:

  • Search for vendors. Add new vendors simply by typing in the company name. If a match is found in the database, the vendor’s information will be added automatically. No more hunting down mailing addresses! Simply enter your account number and add your bills to be paid.
  • Schedule payments by the due date. The product allows you to enter the date you would like your vendor to receive your payment, and we take care of getting it there on time!
  • Keep your money with you. Your money will remain in your bank account until the day you select the payment be made to your vendor.
  • Set up reminders. Never make a late payment again! When you set up reminders, you’ll receive a message telling you when your payment is due.
  • Pay from multiple checking accounts. Choose which checking account to pay your bills from.  This option is available to members who have previously authorized linked account numbers.
  • Make recurring payments. Eliminate the hassle of paying your monthly bills by setting up recurring payments. This is a great option for payments that don’t change from month to month – such as your car payment or mortgage.
  • See it all at a glance! The Payment Center lets you make payments and view pending payments, recent payments, and bill reminders all on the same screen.

You will continue to access bill pay through Virtual Branch Online Banking. However, you will now click the link labeled Bill Pay at the top of the screen.  The majority of your payees will be converted to the new system.  In rare instances, a payee may not convert or the payee information may not be what you initially entered when you added your payee to the old bill pay system. We will do our best to ensure we have the most current address and account information, but we will also need your help to make sure all of your payments process correctly. Once we have moved to the new bill payment service it will be very important that you login to the Virtual Branch Online Banking Bill Pay site and ensure that all of your payee information is accurate.

If you currently use the single or reoccurring transfer option to a person or another financial institution, these features will no longer be available after June 18, 2020.  To perform transfers to a person or another financial institution when you launch the updated system, you will need to set up those payments as paying a person or company under the ‘Add a Bill’ tab.

The first time you log into Bill Pay on or after June 18, 2020, you will be asked to accept Terms and Conditions for Bill Pay. Please review the Terms and Conditions carefully as they have been updated.

Six months of your payment history will be converted to the updated system.  Please go to your current payment history listing and print off any history you think you may need before June 15, 2020.  Our credit union staff will also be able to access your history if needed.  You may contact us at 315-724-5133, Monday – Friday, 8am to 4pm.
